Delicious Gakuin 5 美味學院5

This is a late review, since the DVD released some time already. In this stage drama, the main cast are AAA. DRM members acts as those supporting cast and they did their job quite well already. Especially for Aya, she got an interesting role in the drama. in the show, DRM has taken their part in sing two of their song as individual, they are Lost Soul-crack- and Get Over. The story is fair, and some scene are quite funny indeed.

一個遲來的評論，因為DVD也出了二個多近三個月了。在這個舞台劇中，主角為AAA，DRM成員作為配角去參與，但她們的演出已經不錯了。其中彩扮演著一個有趣和發揮很多的角色。表演中，以DRM為個體去唱的歌有兩首，是Lost Soul-crack-及 Get Over。故事有點平淡，但也有不少笑位。

Digital Single

Review from fans "Kenshi"

It has been quite a long time after the release of their first mini-album, DRM, before they announced the four-consecutive-month release project. The four brand new materials could obviously been seen as rare items. However, does the rarity equal to the quality? Let’s see.

First we have “Touchy Touchy”. This track has a very dark and funky sound to it, with strong beats and interesting yet skilled back-up vocals. You would most likely shake your head or tap your finger when listening to it. To spice things up, the track moves to a totally different direction for the bridge after the second chorus. The transition in between is superb in my opinion. However, I found the line “Get up and show me tonight. Are you ready to dance?” gets very annoying after some repetitions. Apart from that, this is an enjoyable track.

In February, DRM fans were awarded with “Electric”, an even darker disco song with stronger beats. This track is merely 3 minutes 35 seconds in length, which could explain the lack of surprises in the track. In addition, the in-your-face type of introduction could probably scare some fans off as well. Even though I did not get to enjoy it very much at first, I actually found it has a better melody than “Touchy Touchy” after a few listens. The arrangement and engineering of this song is very interesting as well – the voices of Kana, Yu and Sayaka are altered in some ways to give it a more ‘electric’ feeling to it. In my opinion, “Electric” is another nice song to be dwelled into.

Even though it’s still far away from summer in Japan, DRM released a summer-y track, “Tasty”, in March. This song strong reminds me of of “flavour ~YOU STICK IN MY MIND” to me (maybe it’s because I relate the words ‘tasty’ and ‘flavour’ in some ways?). If it is to compare, “Tasty” is more vivid than “flavour”. Vocal-wise, I think Kana does a fantastic job in handling the high notes. Moreover, Shizuka and Erie have their moments to shine in the song, and they manifest their parts perfectly which adds more emotion to the track. The final outcome of the bright instrumental, sweet lyric and skilled vocals turned out to be very pleasant, or I should say, very ‘tasty’ in fact. I personally found “Tasty” to be the best track among the four consecutive releases. Thumbs up for this song.

As the final release of the project, DRM released “to you”. “to you” is a slow-tempo ballad, in which every member of DRM gets their own solo lines. This track, however, sounds kind of bland to me. On top of that, I have another problem to vocalize about the song  –  Ami, Aya and Erie both produce loud inhaling sounds while singing the soft parts of the song, making them rather poor performers rather than the stars we see in them on stage and thus resulting the song to be less emotional. Nevertheless, Kana and Sayaka still manage to shine in the song, guiding us the correct direction where “to you” is supposed to go. I found that DRM has better ballads than this one. To sum up, I would give a just-higher-than-average score to “to you” only.

I believe DRM has shown excellence in this 4-consecutive-mothed release project. They have taken to another direction of music, the dark “Electric” disco track for example, and they have proved themselves to be versatile performers. Hopefully they would release a physical single in the future, and better still, an album consisted of these four digital single tracks.

to you

The soft and slow tempo song is the last digital single within the 4 consecutive months. This song chose a very different approach, compared to the last 3 songs. The expression of this song is great, expecially the ballad part. The lyrics are written by Kana, and most member joined the singing this time.

4月連發的最後一擊，以慢版的樂曲作終結，這與前三作相比，方向明顯大為不同。歌曲的表達很不錯，以抒情為主調。歌詞由佳奈所填，而這次歌曲的分工亦比較平均。

Tasty

Such song is aimed to create a theme of summer which like the theme from the past mini-album (natsuiro) from the dream era. I can easily thought of an image where the girls are playing and singing on a beach under bright atmosphere. Apart the usual trio, this time Shizuka and Erie are allowed to perform some part of the song, which are also impressive. To conclude, it is a nice tune which is quite worth listening.

此曲以夏日為主題，跟以往dream時代的ナツイロ有相似之處。這曲很容易令人聯想到一群女孩在明媚的沙灘中唱歌遊玩。至於編曲上，除了一貫的三人外，今次靜香及繪里惠亦得到表現機會，並有不俗的表現。總的來說，是一首不錯的曲子，值得一聽。

Electric

The name already revealed the theme of the song, this is a electronic music. This time, the background music is a bit too much, especially the drums. The lyrics in chorus part seems row over and over again. I quite like the arrangement of the song since it can fully utilize the whole group. To conclude, I would give this song a lower score than Touchy Touchy.

名字表露一切，Electric就是一首電子樂曲。個人認為，背景鼓聲太重，有點兒過了火，背景合唱亦顯得單調。至於編曲方面，我覺得可以充分運用7個人既優勢，歌詞可以行雲流水地唱出，疊唱也做得不錯。但總的來講，評分會比上一首為低。

Touchy Touchy

This is an Allegro Moderato tempo track. Most of the lines are sung by Kana, Yu and Sayaka (Not surprisingly, the same formation as the past.). In my mind, the track gives me an image of a disco. The ladies are singing on the stage and dancing in some tempting moves. The song contains some of the English lyrics, their pronounciation is quite accurate. The chrous and mixing get to the point. To conclude, the song is quite cool although the song don't have too much difficulity. The only thing I want to complain is there is no lyrics provide in the Official Site. Hope all those digital single will push to the market in CD format soon.

一首中快版的樂曲。全曲基本上由佳奈，優及紗也加唱出(這點沒有多大驚喜，沿用過往的陣式。)聽到曲的第一感覺，是在一個黑暗環境的Disco，台上唱著並跳著誘惑人的舞。曲中有一部分英文歌詞，發音也很準確。合唱及混音也做得不錯，以我而言，是一首不錯的曲子，雖然難度不是很高。唯一要挑骨頭的就是，為何沒有提供歌詞，只希望所有數碼Single可以儘快以CD型式推出市場。

The debut mini-album from DRM did not shocked me too much.

LEO : too much "LEO" in the lyrics, a bit annoying. (7)
amai dokuyaku : the tune is not bad, the singing mainly distribute on Kana, Yu and Sayaka, but the tune have the same problem, annoying lyrics. (7.5)
MONA LISA Overdrive : A rock feel tune, I think the tune is used for suiting the theme, change from adolescent to mature ladies. (7)
Why fall in love? : The high-key note is accurate, but the tune is too ordinary. (7)
kimi no kaeru basho : the arragnement from soft to loud to good (8)
Let's Reboot: the ordinary type of song from formerly dream, seems suitable for them.The tune is similar with Blue Navigation(8)
katagishi no fuukei ni: the best tune in this mini-album, thr whole song is soft, quite suitable ofr listening alone(8.5)

今次這張mini-album，給予人的衝擊感不足。

LEO : 歌詞經常重覆， 有點煩擾。(7)
甘い毒薬：作為主打，曲風不錯，不過歌唱部份只側重於三人身上，佳奈，優及紗也加 。另外，詞亦有同一問題，過於重覆。(7.5)
MONA LISA Overdrive：有搖滾味，我想是出於帶出碟的主題，由dream成為DRM的一種成長轉變。(7)
Why fall in love? ：高音可取，曲式略為單調。(7)
君の帰る場所：曲由柔至至剛的轉變不俗。(8)
Let's Reboot： 曲式像dream時期的風格，仍較為適合她們。曲風像Blue Navigation(8)
肩越しの風景に：全個人認為碟中最好的一首 ，全曲偏柔，適合一人獨處時欣賞。(8.5)

7th Anniversary Best

In the Best Album, most of song came from the old singles and album, you may treat this album as a way of collection. My only concern spoted on the last track of the album --- the only new song for more than 1 year. The lyrics of this song was written by Mai Matsumuro, the ex-member from the old school dream. The song got a middle tempo, making a relaxing mood. Another point need to be focused on would the last line of the lyrics. "tsuduite iku dreaming way" simply means Let's us continue for our dreaming way. Would this line of lyric be some hints from Mai. Let's wait and see. [Reviewed by Rocky]

在這張best album 中，大多數的曲目皆出自以往的單曲或大碟中，可視為收藏看待。唯一可以評論的地方，就只有大碟中的最後一首曲目，對上一首新曲已有超過一年，確令不少樂迷期盼已久。歌詞出自松室麻衣的手筆，樂曲編排上算中版，給予人一種放鬆的感覺。另一個注目點就是歌詞中的最後一句，"続いていく dreaming way" ，字面解釋就是讓我們延續我們的夢想之旅。麻衣的這句歌詞有沒有什麼特別意思呢，只好讓時間印證。 [由Rocky作出評論]

Grestest Live Hits

From this Live album, we can actually figure out the changing process from 3 to 8, and from 8 back to 7. On disc 1, all the song are from the 3-nin period. Those popularious tracks like Get Over, My Will and Sincerely ~ever dream~ are included. Its a good way for the us to call back the memory. In disc 2, the song are all presented by the new group of dream. If you still don't have chance to watch their live wither from concert or DVD, it's still a way for you to enjoy the live music. Live Album把7年來的轉變一一道出，先由三人，改為八人，最後成為現在的七人。在第一碟，皆為三人時期的作品，那些耳熟能詳的Get Over, My Will, Sincerely ~ever dream~ 皆一一收錄，就像把過去的回憶又再一次回到腦海中。至於第二碟，則為新生dream時期的live作品。若然你仍未能透過現場表演或dvd中欣賞到她的表演，那便可以透過此從中感受一二。[由Rocky作出評論]

dream Party 2006 X'mas

In this DVD, my first impression is focusing on the stage design, the lighting effect is good also. Costume is basically the same style as before (quite sexy at the middle part). And also, the animal costume worn by the members in dream Party 2006 ~love & dream~ appear again in this live show. Voice, emmm, nearly perfect, apart from Kana (still cannot reach some high note in negai). One of the checkpoint-----a big bottle of Tachibana Sake. Although, you won't see any crying scene in this live, it is still another good show brought to you by dream. [Reviewed by Rocky]

一看這個DVD，第一個著眼畸在於舞台設計上， 配合燈光的投射，印象上已有不錯的印象。 服裝亦一如以往風格(中斷段同樣以性感掛帥) ，而在上一個live中出現過的動物外套亦再度出現。 聲音上，幾乎近至完美，只有佳奈在願い一曲中的高音有失準。Checkpoint ---橘日本酒。雖然今次未有哭泣場面，但總的來說，亦是一個由dream帶來的精彩演出。

dream party 2006～Love & dream～

In this DVD, we can see some improvements on the new members of dream by comparing with the album dream world (new dream's 1st album). They played a chorus with instruments covering STAY which is really awesome. We can also see some breakthroughs at the beginning of the show, most girls showing their sexy outlook. However, I was a bit disappointed about Kana's performance since she cannot reached some of the high key notes. The show covered 5 songs from the mini-album Boy meets Girl. And also, in the whole show, there are gimmicks inside the show, like wearing the costumes with animals (HELLO GOODBYE), and singing with all the staffs (I love dream world). Anyways, the ending is really touching when other girls are sending flowers to Kana for the purpose of showing the respect to the leader. This is a worth watching show. [Reviewed by Rocky]

對於呢隻最新既dvd，可以睇到dream既五位新成員係唱功上明顯既進步(可對比初出道之作dream world)。其中，五人合演stay更見其他方面之表現。另外，視覺效果上亦見其功夫，七位穿著性感舞衣又唱又跳，格外吸引。相對而言，因佳奈未能唱出少量的高音部份，對於此失準有些微失望。整個live包含五首來自迷你專輯boy meets girl，而末段六位成員向佳奈送上花兒亦見其感情及對隊長尊敬之意。整個表演中，亦有不少場面有其心思，例如，唱hello goodbye一段，穿起可愛的動物外套，及後i love dream world時，一眾工作人員去到台上，一同合唱等。總結而言，這是其中一個不可錯過的表演。[由Rocky作出評論]
