History of dream

In May 1999,  avex trex (Japan) hold a contest (avex dream 2000) looking for talents. Over 120,000 contestants all over the countries joined for it. Mai Marsumuro,Yu Hasebe and Kana Tachibana are the final three. (Note that Kumi Koda and Miki Fujimotois also one of the contestants) The record company grouped them together and formed a young girl group named "dream".
1999年5月，日本的avex trex公司舉辦了一個名為avex dream 2000的比賽，希望吸納人才。來自全日本的超過12萬參賽者有份參與賽事。其中松室麻衣，長谷部優，橘佳奈為最後得勝者(其中倖田來未及早安少女隊之藤本美貴亦為其中一名參賽者)。唱片公司決定把三人組合起來，組成一少女組合，並起名為dream。

Their 1st debut single "Movin' on" was released on 1 January, 2000.
2000年1月1日，dream首張單曲"Movin' on"發售。

In July 2002, dream hold their 2nd live concert "dream live 2002 Process", then Mai left dream in order to learn lyric writing. 6 new members immediately joined the group named Risa Ai, Erie Abe, Aya Takamoto, Ami Nakashima, Shizuka Nishida and Sayaka Yamamoto. They have rasied some attention with the track " I love dream world", and allowing them to joined the a-nation on 2002, 2003 and 2004.
2002年7月7日，dream舉行她們第二個演唱會"dream live 2002 Process"的最後一場，之後麻衣以學習作曲及填詞為由，獨自離隊，但隨即有六位新成員加入，分別為阿井莉沙，阿部繪里惠，高本彩，中島麻未，西田靜香及山本紗也加。新生dream憑" I love dream world"一曲，引起注意，更曾登上oricon的頭十位。自此，dream亦有機會於2002至2004年三年間，於a-nation上參與演出。

2004年3月28日，當完成舞台劇"ID"之演出後，阿井莉沙離隊，作個人發展，並剩下7人dream。

In 2005, dream members become the backbone of a women artist fustal team named "TEAM dream" for joining the "Sphere League".  Yu Hasebe also started the career on TV dramas and movies. Sayaka Yamamoto had also started her individual career on singing.
2005年，以dream成員為骨幹，組成一隊女子五人足球，並命名為"TEAM dream"，參與"Sphere League"之賽事。長谷部優開展其女藝人之事業，活躍於電視及電影。而山本紗也加則以山本サヤカ作為藝名作個人發展。

In 2006, dream hold their 1st round-the-country concert tour. On 6 April, Team dream won their 1st official competition by joining the 3rd Stage of Sphere League. Furthermore, on 11 May, they complete their consecutive win by joining the 4th stage. The team won the 1st round-the-year championship by getting 20 points in accumulate on 30 November 2006.
2006年，dream舉行她們首次全國性巡迴演唱會。同年4月6日，"TEAM dream"取得首次公式賽之冠軍，並於5月11日，達成兩連霸。並於2006年11月30日成為年度冠軍，取得年間王者的稱號。。

After the grouping for over 7 years, dream decided to have a makeover. The name changed from dream to DRM. This act is most likely treated as a way to get out the image of adolescent, and adding some mature ladies image. Moreover, the logo also changed. Those changes took effect on 27 June 2007.
7年光陰流逝，dream亦於2007年6月25日作出變動。團體名稱由dream改為DRM，希望以改變擺脫稚氣增添成熟韻味。另外，團體標誌亦作出改變。

Within the year, DRM had released one mini-album and 4 digtal single. DRM does not found it is popular by using such name. So they return to the basic, using the old name "Dream" for their development on 1 August 2008. On the same day, Yu Hasebe leaves the team for individual development.

經過一年時間，DRM發行過一張mini-album及4首電子單曲，但改名並沒有帶來很大效果，所以決定在2008年8月1日回復使用Dream作為名字。同日，長谷部優正式離隊作個人發展。
